VERFRUT CELEBRATES THE INAUGURATION OF THE LARGEST FLOATING PHOTOVOLTAIC PLANT IN SOUTH AMERICA.

In our unwavering commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, we proudly inaugurated the largest floating photovoltaic plant in South America. This groundbreaking project features 127 solar panels mounted on 2,493 floats.

Situated in the Quilamuta field, the plant boasts a capacity of 1090 kWp, providing clean energy to various VERFRUT operations. Comprising 1,998 solar panels mounted on 1,493 floats, elevating them above the water, the plant covers a total area of 8260 square meters.

This plant is one of the 10 solar installations within our orchards (2 water and 8 land), and we have plans to install more soon.

This initiative is part of our objective as a company, to promote our sustainability policy, which is integrated into conventional management and operational systems, contributing on this occasion to the achievement of UN SDG7 "Affordable and clean energy”.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our journey towards a greener and more sustainable future!
